Partition Specs

Door & Panels

Doors shall be a minimum 3/4″ thick solid phenolic core with high-pressure melamine matte finish surface made as an integral part of the core material. All edges are to be machined smooth. Panels shall be minimum 1/2″ thick solid phenolic core with high-pressure melamine matte finish surface made as an integral part of the core material. All edges are to be machined smooth.

Pilasters

The anchoring device shall consist of 3/8″ × 1″ steel bar mechanically fastened to bottom of pilaster and attached to floor by two 3/8″ diameter steel stud bolts, nuts and expansion shields with a minimum penetration of 2″ into concrete. Pilasters shall be a minimum 3/4″ thick solid phenolic core with high-pressure melamine matte finish surface made as an integral part of the core material. All edges are to be machined smooth.

Hardware

All hardware shall be heavy nonferrous chrome plated castings. Fastenings by means of thru-bolts with tamper proof heads. Pilaster shoe shall be 3″ high, of #302, 18-8 polished stainless steel. Includes all necessary hardware and fittings for a complete installation. Brass and stainless steel hardware available at additional cost.

Finish

Finish shall be a matte surface in the manufacturer’s standard high-pressure melamine color selection. The matte appearance provides a clean, refined look while helping reduce glare and giving the partitions a more subtle, professional finish suited for a wide range of commercial restroom environments.

Color

Finish shall consist of laminated plastic selected from Flush Metal’s standard plastic colors and patterns. A variety of options is available to help coordinate with the overall design of the space, whether the project calls for a more neutral, traditional look or a more modern visual style.

Concealed Latch

This latch has a complete mechanism concealed within the door. Emergency access feature is standard.

Structural Member

This type of mounting, used on both our Flushart and Flushung, assures maximum rigidity and durability.

Leveling Device

This mechanism has been designed to accelerate installation and to provide maximum rigidity at floor connection.

Construction

All components have an interlocking molding and are welded at intervals to insure maximum structural strength.

Honeycomb Core

Cellular honeycomb core is bonded and laminated to face plates providing maximum adhesion.

Anti-Grip Headrail

This type of construction on all Flushite compartments avoids chinning and provides maximum rigidity, as well.

General Care & Maintenance of Bathroom Partitions

To clean baked enamel partitions, wash with warm water, using mild soap only, rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Do not allow cleaning agent to dry on finished surface.

To maintain a high quality finish, we recommend waxing material periodically with a quality wax recommended for baked enamel finishes.

Do not use an abrasive material, harsh cleanser or any cleanser containing chemical detergents or acids.
